We have been working closely with Progress Auto for the last couple of months and are finally able to introduce the Progress Drag Coilovers that have been built to the IPG Specs.
We actually got our first set of these last October before the 2011 World Cup Finals and we have been running them on the IPG All Motor Drag Civic for the last couple of months.
These have been built with FWD Street cars in particular in mind. Specifically the Street All Motor, True Street, SFWD and Outlaw FWD Classes. But will work for a wide array of setups
The worst part about buying the usual off the shelf Drag Coilovers is that they are not valved with exact spring rates in mind. Rather they throw a heavy spring at the damper in order to try to stiffen things up. We have gone a completely different route. Using Drag Specific Valving as the base to start the coilover design and then matching a spring to meet our desired results.
Progress Technology develops and builds these right here in the United States for us. This is key to ensure quality control from unit to unit and ultimately if you ever want to make a change to a spring rate or valving it can be done quickly and efficiently as all the replacement parts are located right in Califorinia.
Our exclusive take-apart dampers are tunable and rebuild-able; in addition, the threaded steel bodies are plated with attractive corrosion-resistant electroless nickel. This kit will get you the ride height adjustments you are looking for whether on the track or at the show. These kits are covered under a one year warranty to protect you from any manufacturing defects or parts failure; must keep original invoice and one year starts at the date of purchase.
Height adjustability is from 1″ to 3″ Lower than Stock.
The Front Spring Rate is 500 lbs/in
The Rear Spring Rate is 800 lbs/in
We can also offer a 500 lbs/in Rear Spring if you would like to use this setup on a street car.
You will need to use your OEM Top Hats with these coilovers. They are not included.
Hawthorne, CA, January 14, 2011 — AEM Performance Electronics is pleased to introduce its Billet Aluminum Universal High Flow -10 AN Inline Fuel Filter (part #25-201BK).
The AEM High Flow -10 AN Inline Fuel Filter is CNC machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum and Hard Anodized Black. AEM’s engineers designed this filter with the racer in mind and with the intention of maximizing flow, filtration and ease of installation. The end caps are machined with -10AN female fittings with o-ring receiver groove that allow the filter to flow up to an astonishing 12.32 gpm @ 45 PSI and 2.63 gpm @ 6 PSI. All sealing o-rings and gaskets are made of Viton for outstanding performance when using gasoline, alcohol or gasoline/alcohol blended fuels. The commonly available replacement filter cartridges filter as low as 7 microns. The standard 2” OD allows for easy mounting virtually anywhere in the vehicle.
We are liquidating a bunch of AEM Front Brake Pads for various applications. Some may not know but AEM had a complete brake division of their company for quite some time before selling it off and their braking components became quite popular on the market. We purchased a large quantity of these and are bringing the huge savings directly to our customers.
Manufactured in conjunction with OE Japanese brake manufacturer Nissin, AEM High Performance Brake Pads are guaranteed to outperform stock pads and fit perfectly every time. Made from a unique ceramic-Kevlar fiber compound, these pads give you a higher coefficient of friction that translates into fade resistance, shortened braking distances, and reduced pedal effort. Additionally, since this compound is made from non-ferrous materials, the resulting brake dust is non-corrosive and will not deteriorate brake components.
Features:
- Asbestos-free
- Made from non-ferrous ceramic-Kevlar compound
- Performs and fits perfectly in OE brake systems
- Produces light-colored dust that is barely noticeable on wheels
- Low squeal properties
Racing is a great passion of ours here at IPG but we also use it as a way to test products and show our customers and fans what works and what doesn’t work in the performance aftermarket. The IPG All Motor Civic has always been destined to be a test mule for some of the popular items on the market and now that we have some really consistent data on the way the car is currently setup we decided to throw a new part at it and see how much of a difference it could make. Up until this point in time we just had a set of generic, full bodied threaded coilovers on the car that were originally designed for basic street use. They were height and dampening adjustable with a 8k front spring and a 5k rear spring. We have been running them at full stiff dampening and the car was working okay as far as we could tell.
But now for a change. This past weekend we put a set of Blox Drag Pro Series on the car. We minimized the changes as much as possible to ensure the most accurate before and after data possible. We measured the existing ride height of the car, installed the Blox Drag Coilovers onto the car and set the car as close to that same ride height as possible. This allowed the alignment settings to remain as close as possible as well. After the coilover installation we did throw the car on the corner scales to even out the front weight distribution. This was done by simply adjusting the ride height in a small 1/8″ to 1/4″ span. But other than that nothing else changed with the car setup. We ran the same EMS programming, same 2 step launch RPM, same shift points, same tires, same tire pressure, etc, etc.
The Blox Drag Pro Series Coilovers are height adjustable only with a 12k front spring and a 18k rear spring. The shock valving is specifically designed for the spring rates being utilized. The coilovers are available for the 1992-1995 Honda Civic, 1996-2000 Honda Civic 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol and 1994-2001 Acura Integra. Mostly sold as a complete set of 4 although rear pairs only are available.
And now to the real testing data. We had approximately 10 very consistent passes in the All Motor Civic for the before comparison including (4) 11.67 1/4 mile ET time slips. The previous best passes were done at Palm Beach Intl Raceway during the March NSCRA event and the new testing was done at Orlando Speedworld during the War of the Imports event. Yes, the time slips are from different tracks but datalogging shows Air Intake Temps were very comparable and actually the new quicker passes showed a couple of the air intake temps even higher than that previous bests.
Here are the best 4 before time slips all 11.67 ET’s.
And here are the (3) best after Blox Drag Coilover installation passes.
As you can see by the data the 60′ time picked up a couple of hundredths, the 330′ time picked up a couple of hundredths and the 1/8th mile time picked up over a tenth of a second this all resulted in close to a 2/10th gain in the 1/4 mile time. Based on the data the coilover swap keeps the chassis more planted allowing more power to be put to the ground thus accelerating quicker and running quicker 1/4 mile times.
For all we know there may still be a better coilover option on the market for this car that we haven’t tested yet but the Blox Drag Coilovers are a great bang for the buck and really do work.

The ID1600 fills the gap between the ID1000 and the ID2000, and is a drop in replacement for older EV-1 style 1600cc injectors.
Unlike the older technology, the ID1600 has a very gradual rolloff into the lower non linear range, with none of the rollercoaster response caused by undamped pintle bounce. This smooth response makes for easy idle tuning, even on small displacement motors. In addition to the excellent response, the minimum repeatable fuel mass matches that of the venerable ID1000, which means if you could make it idle with an ID1000, you can make it idle with an ID1600!
With a pressure capability of 9 bar this injector can flow as much as 2700cc/min while maintaining control and smooth response.
Follow the shortcut links below for specific information, or scroll down to see all data for the ID1600.
Nominal Dynamic Flow Rate – 1640cc/min @ 3.00 Bar (43.5 psi) Using Gasoline at 52 Degrees C (125 Degrees F) Maximum Differential Fuel Pressure – 9.0 Bar (130.5 psi) Fuel Compatibility – Compatible with Methanol/Ethanol/All Known Hydrocarbon Fuels. Incompatible with MTBE/Nitro Methane/Nitro Propane. Electrical Connector – EV-1/Minitimer/LK-2
The adjustable camber kit second-generation Integra owners have been waiting for is finally here—Skunk2’s all-new Pro Series Front Camber Kit.
Skunk2 designed its Pro Series Front Camber Kit for the ’90-’93 Integra with specially engineered A-arms and ball joints that allow for maximum positive camber adjustment in a low-profile design. Enthusiasts who are serious about performance can now correct almost all abnormal tire wear due to negative camber and increase high-speed stability.
Each Pro Series Camber Kit includes Skunk2’s all-new, one-piece, forged Pro Series Ball Joints, which feature low-profile top plates for additional clearance between themselves and the shock towers, higher clamping loads for no-slip performance, and a unique design that allows for maximum adjustability. Skunk2 ‘s cadmium-plated, Pro Series Ball Joints can also be adjusted from the bottom up, which allows for quicker and easier adjustments—especially on lowered vehicles with shortened shock bodies. In addition to improved ride characteristics and reduced tire wear on lowered vehicles, Skunk2′s proprietary design helps reduce structural fatigue and failure commonly associated with other camber adjustment kits.
Skunk2’s Camber Kits are the number one choice of many professional race teams, including Honda’s own factory road race cars, since 1997. And since 1995, Skunk2 has been leading the industry with its fully adjustable Camber Kits. To accommodate enthusiasts’ needs, Skunk2 made a significant change in 1998 by adding an oversized, rectangular-shaped top mount to its Front Camber Kits for increased positive adjustment. In 2000, Skunk2 pioneered the use of one-piece, forged ball joints. And in 2004, Skunk2 introduced its patent-pending Pro Series Ball Joints—a design that, today, sets the standard for all other camber kits.

Recently we installed a Magnaflow 3″ Stainless Steel Catback exhaust on the www.IPGParts.com 2008 Impreza WRX STi.
Other parts on the car include Perrin Equal Length Header, Cobb Tuning Catted Downpipe, Cobb Accessport (tuned), BC Racing Coilovers, Volk Gramlight Wheels.
We loved the way the OEM exhaust sounded with the other parts installed on the car and really never had plans of changing it. A great promotional deal on the Magnaflow exhaust system was offered so we figured we would at least give it a shot. Out of most of the exhaust on the market for the 08+ WRX STi the Magnaflow is one of the nicer looking ones keeping with the Quad Tip design and not being over the top as far as looks.
The sound is very nice as well. In conjuction with the Perrin EL Header and Cobb Catted downpipe we have a nice deep tone. We definitely prefer the EL header sound versus the OEM Unequal Length Header sound on the WRX STi. Purists will say we are nuts but that is the sound we prefer here at IPG.
Aeromotive is proud to introduce the newest fuel pump in the Aeromotive High Performance line. The Aeromotive 340 HP is a high-output, in-tank, electric fuel pump that fits most popular EFI applications. The Aeromotive 340 is a compact, lightweight pump that bolts into most existing hanger assemblies.
What sets the 340 HP apart is its superior flow throughout a wide pressure range. Compared to a typical 255 at 40 psi, the 340 HP boasts over 30% more flow. This pump is ideal for applications requiring more flow while retaining the factory wiring and mounting provisions available in the Original Equipment (O.E.) configuration. The 340 HP is also ideal for use as a universal replacement for applications that require more flow to support forced air power adders such as turbo and supercharged applications.
